Two Bears Escape UK Wildlife Park and Eat a Week’s Supply of Honey

Two young bears caused an unusual stir after escaping their enclosure at a wildlife park in the United Kingdom and helping themselves to a large stash of honey before falling asleep inside a storage area.
According to park officials, the bears managed to slip out of their secured habitat during the early morning hours. Staff quickly noticed the animals were missing and began a search of the park grounds.
The bears were later discovered in a food preparation area where they had accessed containers of honey reserved for the week’s feeding schedule. After consuming the sweet supply, the animals reportedly became sluggish and lay down to sleep among the empty containers.
“No visitors were in danger at any time,” a park spokesperson said. “The bears appeared calm and satisfied after their unexpected feast.”
Veterinary staff monitored the animals closely to ensure they suffered no health problems from overeating. Both bears were safely returned to their enclosure without incident.
The wildlife park stated that security measures are being reviewed to prevent similar escapes in the future. Meanwhile, the incident has attracted attention online, with many describing it as a “classic bear behavior” story straight out of a cartoon.
