This morning, someone screamed when they saw Marv.Không có mô tả ảnh.

Not because he growled.
Not because he lunged.
Not because he did anything at all.

They screamed simply because he’s a pit bull.

Marv just stood there — tail wagging, eyes soft, doing that little head tilt he does when he’s trying to understand why humans act so strange. He didn’t bark. He didn’t pull. He just looked at me, confused, like “Did I do something wrong?”

And that’s the part that hurts.

People see his blocky head and strong body and decide his story before he ever gets a chance to show his heart. They don’t see the dog who sleeps with his paws tucked under his chin. The one who checks on me when I’m sad. The one who greets every morning like it’s the best day of his life.

Pit bulls aren’t monsters.
They’re mirrors.

Like humans, some dogs are shaped by love… and some by pain. Breed doesn’t decide kindness — experiences do. Upbringing does. Compassion does.

Marv didn’t choose his face. He didn’t choose the stereotypes attached to it. But every single day, he chooses gentleness. He chooses trust. He chooses love.Corgi Welsh - Khám Phá Về Giống Chó Hoàng Gia Anh

So if someone is afraid of him, I understand — fear often comes from what we don’t know.
But I wish they’d look past the label.

Because if they did, they’d see what I see

Not a monster.
